“Is anyone among you sick? Let them call for the priests of the church, and let the priests pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick persons and the Lord will raise them up” (James 5:14-15).

The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is offered after Sunday Masses on the first Sunday of each month. Anyone 65 years and older and those with chronic illness may receive the sacrament often. It is good to receive the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick before surgery.

It is always better to call a priest sooner rather than later when one is ill, but in an emergency, Fr. Mike will drop almost anything to anoint when needed.
